The Apple Macintosh started out as a PowerPC-based personal computer built and marketed by Apple Computer, usually running OS X. In January 2006 the Apple line-up of products began the transfer to Intel CPUs.
Mac users often brag to users of other operating systems, saying "My Mac doesn't crash". This is sadly economical with the truth.
