Kylix throws up errors saying it can't find or access a shared file.
I think there may be a number of env variables that may need to be set in your ".profile" or ".bash_profile" to do with kylix. Due to libraries not being in the standard locations. It's been quite a while and i haven't got it installed, but iirc i think thats probably it. It should be in the install docs. You may even have to add a path to your /etc/ld.so.config. It's not nesseccary to include the standard locations in that file ... /lib, /usr/lib, as they default anyway. I can remember having a lot of hope for kylix but i could never get the gui scheme fonts to render more than about 6pt

Yeah, they do that on purpose too (grin). Really nice in windows though, 'cept for the crashes.
