RE: A Welcome From Myself

Postby Dutch_Master » Wed Oct 24, 2007 2:18 am

Welcome to the group! :D You'll find it a much helpfull bunch, minus some bloke for whom fish are slippery ;) Whatever he says, ignore him, as he really doesn't know what he's talking about. Don't worry about the "1sf (troll)" bashing, we believe he actually likes it, otherwise he'd be gone by now :P Besides, it has become a tradition here and being a UK based mag and the Brits love their traditions, just join in and make yourself right at home

OK, all joking aside: don't be afraid and hesitate to help others when you have an answer to their question. If you make a mistake, you'll be corrected in a mostly friendly manner and you've learned something new too. A great man knows his limitations and has the courage to admit his faults :)

If I recall correctly, there was something in the "RULES" about this? Maybe your or nordle's contribution should be made a sticky here. :)

Didn't someone recently suggest that 1sf (troll) was mike's alter-ego?

Then again it IS understandable if he doesn't want to be seen in the same room....
The sig between the asterisks is so cool that only REALLY COOL people can even see it!

If nobody wants to be seen in the same room as 1sf (troll), does this mean we are all 1sf (troll)?

oooeeee, and i thought i was the one that was being pegged there, there's a relief. I actually did think it might be Rhakios for a while though, for some curious reason ( sorry Rhakios (grin) ). ( ummm, upper management ! ?? )

It would seem the book is going to be still open on that score

Yes, that's what hooked me to Linux originally. Plus a person can screw up in a creative way too, and hopefully learn something as a result. Which can be difficult to do in an employment situation.

Good Luck

Actually, I think it's Evil Nick. After all, what could be more evil than 1sf (troll)?

Thats what i was thinking as well :)

Hey, how come nelz isn't on this list hmmmmmmm ( grin ).
I wouldn't not comsider Ballmer either ... but then, the conversation would probably center around bananas, so that may well kill that idea.
