Linux and HP 2575 AIO Network printer

Postby slowandgo » Thu Sep 07, 2006 2:48 am

Hello All,

I am thinking about getting a new printer. I currently have the HP 2355 AIO printer. It is nice but I a have problem with it being attached to another computer. I would like to get an AIO Network printer, I have been thinking about the HP 2575 AIO Network printer.

Has anyone tried this printer, is it possible to use the function of the AIO (print, scan, copy) from a linux machine? The Printer will be connected via my Linksys Wireless Router.

Can someone advise me on this issue before I go and get the new printer. I want a network printer so I can print from any of my computers (laptops, desktops).

TIA

According to the documentation with HP's hplip driver package, this is supported for printing and scanning but not faxing or copying.

Thanks for your reply. But will it work over a network and not using the usb port to the computer?

The hplip site says so.
