What happened to programming Games?

Postby comcamel » Thu Dec 15, 2005 10:33 pm

With all the releases of cairo, glitz and the upcoming, xegl, I would be greatful if Linux format could start putting in game tutorials, as like a while ago they did 2d games and i would like to learn how to program games, as I only do php and avoid c++ ect. as i cannot understand it up to points. Anyway with the technologies, games such as neverball and other applications that use them look really good and that something like this should take place.

I would like this too - the SDL game tutorial was the only one I followed at the time (I read the others but without typing them in!)

I was rather taken by slune, amazing that it could be done in python and was wondering if a tutorial along these lines could be managed?
