Samba share and mounted file system

Postby pk_fox » Mon May 12, 2014 9:15 am

Hi all, I have a Debian box and have shared a folder using samba, within this shared folder I have a subfolder which has a mount to a Windows server on my network, my problem is when I mount the shared folder from another Linux or Windows box the subfolder containing the other shares is shown as a file not a folder and none of the files are visible - any ideas ?

I think you may be right, if I SSH into the Debian box and ls the share all the Windows folders and files are listed so its definitely mounted OK, I'm sure I've done this before years ago without problems, anyway thanks a lot for pointing the bug out.
