Linux Format Special Fedora

Postby wdb » Tue Oct 25, 2005 10:56 am

Two attempts to install the Fedora Core 4 distibution supplied with the "Linux" special publication appeared to succed but the launch of linux has halted with the message "Kernel panic No init found. Exploring with the rescue sytem shows a binary file labelled "init" so suggestion on what to do next to get the OS running would be much appreciated.

I think this is likely that you missed out the "ro root=LABEL=/" near the end kernel /boot/vmlinuz-1.... ro root=LABEL=/ in grub.conf file.
