Tri/Quad Screens

Postby bobthebob1234 » Tue Sep 14, 2010 6:52 pm

Looking into my crystal ball a bit here but anyway.

I have a Asus M4A89TD PRO.

If I got two Sapphire HD5770 would these
A) work with linux
b) Allow me to run three or four screens?

I currently have two screens running from a GeForce GTS 250
could I c) just get another GeForce GTS 250? Does it matter about manufacture? The one I have doesn't seem to be made any more.

THanks
For certain you have to be lost to find the places that can't be found. Elseways, everyone would know where it was

Yes, it does matter: Asus explicitly states in their manual that you'd need 2 equal videocards for SLI to work. However, I was unable to find the Sapphire manual, as they apparently don't have one on their site, only for buyers... So I can't tell you if you could indeed have 4 working screens attached. RTFM thus ;)

I shall hunt down the manuals then and have some nice bed time reading...
