I really hope the KDE team fixes this bug for the 3.5.0 release. It's a major visible annoyance that has made me stick with 3.4.0 for some time now. :(

That looks nice :) Is there anything major in the differences between 3.4 and 3.5?

Have you enabled duplex sound in the KDE Control Centre?

I have found that Skype stops dead when a call comes in if I'm running XMMS. All you can do after that is kill it.

Have you reported this on http://bugs.kde.org/? This is a beta release, the main reason for which is to collect just this sort of information before the full release.

Bugs should be reported separately, so you may as well get this one out of the way before searching for more :)
