Ok poeple this is serious now.
When ever my computer has been off for >5hours it has issues starting up.
Basically what happens is I turn it on at the wall, turn it on, then wait a bit, it dies (windows bsod or ubuntu just freezes), I hold down power button, it turns off, I turn psu off, wait 10 sec, turn it psu on again, and all is ok.
Sometimes I can log in to ubuntu, then things start dying slowing; I will get messages like 'bla bla program quit unexpectedly, do you want to restart it'
I have replaced motherboard, ram and now psu.
This is what I currently have:
Asus M4A89TD Pro USB3
AMD Phenom II X6 1055T
GeForce GTS 250 graphics card
OCZ 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 1600MHz/PC3-12800
850W Antec PSU (was 500W)
so basically having brought 2 pcs (I'm giving the other one to my brother, aren't I nice?) i'm a bit angry that it still don't work as I want!
I was convinced it was the PSU but after replacing that it still don't work. Grr
Does anyone have any suggestions on what to test or replace next?
(Oh and when I run a mem test when I first turn on I get a bunch of errors, and if I run it after turning psu on and off they go away)
For certain you have to be lost to find the places that can't be found. Elseways, everyone would know where it was
