Postby -Dave- » Thu Jan 22, 2009 11:07 pm

Hey, anyone got the foggiest idea why my screen freezes, and goes dotty like this, everytime I try to load Adobe After Effects?

Vi$ta doesn't belong on a Linux forum. Try the 'Other OS' section if you really want to ;) Besides, asking twice in the same place only 1 min later isn't considered 'polite' :P (but I'll forgive you for that ;))

My bad, I set the post up like 5 hours ago, but had to go afk before pushing Submit. Came back, pushed Submit, had to relog, A blank posting page came up, I hit back in hope that the text is still there, it was, so i pushed submit again. :P

Also.. The forum is called

Help!
The place to post if you need help or advice.

It doesn't say with what :P

Moved to Other OS. No worries Dave, but to keep the forums organised we only have Linuxy stuff in Help!

I tried to post on this last night (see my post in "This Website").

How much RAM do you have on the system? Do you have a good (less than 12-months old) graphics card? Is Virtual Memory on a separate hard drive, or partition at the very least? Has the same been done with Adobe's Scratch File location? How many "effects" are being loaded by default into the Library?
