vista?

Postby wyliecoyoteuk » Fri Feb 16, 2007 9:42 pm

I found this link interesting, nice quote:

"Indeed, Aero looks nearly as good as KDE, although it demands about three times the system resources."

The sig between the asterisks is so cool that only REALLY COOL people can even see it!

I wonder how many Europeans will dump Windows after their latest pricing scam. Probably few.

I did read that article - on digital tv spy forum under computing - and thought it summed things up.
Did you know it won't let you have Firefox as a default browser? A damn fine reason not to touch it IMHO.

The things I have to do <mumble mumble mumble>

I enjoyed this review of Vista on The Register. Especially this bit:

Quote:

Indeed, Aero looks nearly as good as KDE, although it demands about three times the system resources.

I'm sure Gnome aficionados would disagree :)

Interesting, that worked, the whole quote has become a link, well, the text bits anyway :)

I know, if ever a subject belonged in Off-topic, it's motogp, but there we go. I'm not going to bang the "keep on topic" drum lest I be accused of hypocrisy :)

From Italian.

Pronunciation

* IPA: /'vɪstə/

Noun

Singular
vista

Plural
vistas

vista (plural vistas)

1. A distant view or prospect, especially one seen through some opening.
2. A site offering such a view.

Which is as close has I want to get to it.

I suppose I'll have to use if they upgrade at work but that's another story.
