Used Server

Postby pk_fox » Thu Jun 15, 2006 11:51 am

Hello All, I'm looking for a used ( read cheap ) server to store a large amount of music / video files ( about 750gb and growing at the moment). I would like a reasonably powerful processor , RAID controller , DVD drive (purely for installing software ) 1 gig RAM (expandable) etc... , just thought it was worth a try on here, maybe someone knows where there is one !, a link to a website that sells this sort of stuff would be helpful - I've looked but it's all a bit mind boggling, I know what I want but the jargon defeats me

many thanks

thanks , I did try there a while back but they don't have anything suitable, I need something ready to go really, at least 4 good large disks with the RAID already setup etc..., the most I really want to do to it is, install Linux.

cheers
