Steve Jobs dies

Postby Nerdy-ish » Thu Oct 06, 2011 9:52 am

RIP to Steve Jobs who died yesterday.

I don't have any Apple products, and don't agree with his vendor lock-in stuff, but he can be credited for making boring technology interesting and even desirable / sexy.

I wonder would Bill Gates get so much good press when his time is up, compared to what Steve Jobs is getting today.

(It's on-topic as you discuss the impact of Steve on technology acceptance by the ordinary main in the street).

"I'm going to miss you, Steve.
Have your doctors been able to determine your cause of death?" Bill Gates asked Jobs, recently descended from heaven, complete with a glowing halo above his head.
"No", answered Jobs, but we do know it wasn't a virus!

Read this in a dutch morning paper today!
